BELL are thrilled to showcase the recently completed $50M LINFOX Adelaide multi-modal freight facility.
We also wish to congratulate all involved for being shortlisted for an Excellence in Construction Award in this year’s Master Builders SA awards.
This is the third facility BELL have delivered for LINFOX. Other facilities completed include LINFOX Willawong QLD and LINFOX Darwin NT.
Our team worked directly with LINFOX to complete the design and achieve planning approval. BELL were then novated to the successful tenderer CIP Constructions through to completion of construction. The design of the 20,000-plus square metre facility was executed to store and distribute goods for LINFOX customers across grocery, consumer goods, hardware, healthcare, apparel and parcel freight. This required ambient capacity and additionally multiple temperature-controlled zones for chilled, frozen and confectionery products.
Understanding Australia’s need to increase rail’s share of freight to meet future transport needs, the LINFOX development is located next to Adelaide’s interstate rail line in Regency Park. The site has capacity to move up to 450 shipping containers per week, with a direct cargo link to the adjacent rail freight terminal supporting Pacific National and Aurizon services.
