Incitec Pivot

Incitec Pivot is a US based producer and supplier of fertilisers for the agricultural industry worldwide.

In 2018 the global company established a 17,000sqm Primary Distribution Centre facility at Flinders Ports, in Port Adelaide, South Australia.

BELL was engaged to provide architecture and interior design services.

The corrosive nature and bulk storage requirements of fertiliser presented BELL with a unique design challenge and required the use of timber girts and purlins as opposed to traditional steel to extend the design life of the building.

Similarly, an elevated control room required careful detailing to limit the build-up of the fertiliser dust on the observation windows and on the top of the compartment.
