Congratulations extend to Babcock Australia & New Zealand, Commercial & General and Tandem Building on completing construction of the $31 million, 6,000m2 purpose built, high-tech, manufacturing, maintenance, and administrative centre for Babcock Australia & New Zealand in Adelaide, South Australia.
BELL delivered Architectural, Interior Design and Landscape design services on the project.
The facility has been designed and developed to enhance Babcock’s ability to fulfil defence support contracts across land and naval domains, including the in-service sustainment of the Collins Class submarine fleet and to align with Babcock’s plan to reduce net emissions to zero by 2040. To support Babcock’s’ Plan Zero 40 pledge, several key sustainability initiatives were integrated into the facility such as large-scale solar panels, rainwater harvesting systems, all-electric plant, and charging facilities for electric fleet vehicles. Additional expansion land sits in readiness for Babcock to cater for future AUKUS support.
